A wise man once said... "Before you proverb, you need clearance from the proverb police"...
For me, associating concepts equals defining boundaries. I learn about counseling theories, and look inward. I find a rebellious child, a free child, a powerless child, and an adaptive child. These children all live in harmony, and under surveillance. My task today is to decipher and ponder the similarities and differences between my free child ego state and my rebellious child ego state; nonetheless, in a public forum. Rebellion comes to my mind first. The mere fact that rebellious child ego state exists in me must mean that there is an injustice occurring, something unfair. If I rebel against this injustice, justice will occur: this is my simple process. Step two: I am free if I rebel. But am I?
If rebellion equals freedom in my mind, does that mean I am not free if I do not rebel against something, someone, some idea? My desire is to be free. Free from what, though?
My desire is to be free from... injustice, pain, hurt, suffering... is this realistic, though? These things exist, whether or not I desire them to or not. If it is this desire to be free from them that ironically creates them, could not a lack of desire make them disappear for me?
So what I've written about is a rebellion in itself, a rebellion from rebelling. I am certainly perceiving myself differently than others perceive me. So what does it matter if I perceive myself as a rebel. What if I were to perceive myself as free, free from the confines of rebellion... I like the sound of that.

Geeky and Weird, both Complements.
I just watched a documentary called 'The Primacy of Consciousness'. I highly recommend it to anyone who has interest in the meshing of spirituality and science.
One person believes the speed of light equals the manifestation of the ratio between space and time... whoa.
I am comforted to hear others with a similar motivation to realize the full potential of being human. We create so much positivity and love. When I am personally challenged, I hope to recognize this challenge as an opportunity to grow, evolve, and create well-balanced solutions: both internally and externally. Other words for solutions could be realizations or awarenesses. Recognizing the forms and functions of consciousness and energy is one step. Creating an environment in which this consciousness and energy can optimally collaborate is another. Being actively involved in the process of awareness is a third step. Humility and courage seem to come into all of the above.
One remarkable realization, in the realm of perception, appears to me in the environment of my own 'desire to know'. Information is becoming more and more accessible with each passing moment. Knowledge is power, proverbs anyone?
The words 'Knowing' and 'Nowing' are so close in spelling, there seems to me a remote association. 'Nowing' (for me) is simply an aware participation in each moment. Knowing (for me) appears to be a delusion. What do we really know? Is the scientific method utilized by the modern world learning about the important info? Or do mystics and religions have it right?
I am deeply intrigued by the study of 'Knowing' (and 'Nowing'). One of my favorite quotes speaks to the importance of curiosity..."Keep asking questions, the best ones don't have answers."

Life is like a roadtrip...
Boxes of chocolates are not my favorite. I prefer a trailmix of almonds, raisins, peanuts, and fiber sticks.
The spectacle of navigation still baffles me. We have moved, nay... bulleted from paper maps to real-time satellite programs that coordinate our sometimes ambitious expectations with our eventual reality. I'm a slave to technology, but a slave by choice. Even in the most simple mental map preparation, my first step invariably includes, "visiting MapQuest, printing directions". We are collectively re-allocating our brain resources to more pressing matters... for example, which restaurant to dine at (of course, via the AroundMe app). Simple beauty may now be more accessible to us all. It is our coined 'tech-slavery' that empowers us to decide more succinctly, and experience life most creatively.
I want to celebrate the roadtrip. Every turn (right or left) opens possibilities. Every moment enlightens us to a changing landscape, a 'refreshed' perspective. I am truly blessed to continue growing, each day anew.
